The Love of the Father

One of the wonderful (and tiring) aspects of this season in our lives is that I have more time to spend with the kids in meaningful, inspiring ways. This is a video of Isaac and me crashing into a pyramid of toilet paper.

My love for Isaac and Abigail constantly grows. We have so much fun just being together- usually acting silly. I am not only learning that I am a representation of Abba God to my kids, but also that my Heavenly Father loves me even more than I love my children. That truth is transforming my life. The heart of the Father is pure love, joy, goodness, laughter, and patience for his children. Do you believe that God wants to play with you, tickle you, snuggle with you, share secrets with you, and laugh with you? The Holy Spirit is turning the hearts of fathers to their children, and the hearts of the children to their fathers (Malachi 4:6). Let us turn our hearts and affections to our Heavenly Father and experience his amazing love for us.

I love it! This is so needed in our society... I can't even tell you how much it would change everyone's lives, both young and old. I've seen an example of this in my work... one of my clients (middle school age) was constantly getting in trouble. Only after his father (who he hadn't seen for many years) reconnected with him, did he change--and he changed drastically over the weekend he spent with his father! There is a LOT of healing that is needed in people's lives related to their fathers... good thing to pray for.
